What you will do:

• Manage a complex caseload of children under Child Protection (Section 47) and Child in Need (Section 17).

• Undertake and oversee advanced statutory assessments, risk assessments, and care planning.

• Provide practice leadership, mentoring, and support to social workers.

• Lead and contribute to strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and core group meetings.

• Prepare high-quality court reports, including involvement in Public Law Outline (PLO) and care proceedings.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

• Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent)

• Evidence of continued professional development

• Post-qualifying training (desirable)

Registration & Compliance:

• Registered with Social Work England

• Knowledge of Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and Public Law Outline (PLO)

• Enhanced DBS clearance
