Role purpose
As an Advanced Practitioner, you will provide high-level social work practice and professional leadership within the Family Safeguarding Team. You will support families where children are at risk of harm, ensuring interventions are timely, effective, and evidence based, while also supporting the development and quality of practice across the team.
What you will do

Hold and manage a small but complex caseload requiring intensive intervention.

Lead on complex assessments including Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), pre-proceedings, and Public Law Outline (PLO).

Provide expert analysis and recommendations to inform threshold decisions and care planning.

Quality assure assessments, plans, and reports in line with the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children.

Champion the Family Safeguarding model and work closely with multidisciplinary partners such as adult mental health and domestic abuse services.

Support legal processes, including court work and preparation of high-quality reports.
