Role Purpose
As an Advanced Practitioner, you will provide expert assessment, decision-making, and professional leadership within the Assessment Team. You will undertake complex cases, supervise social workers, ensure statutory compliance, and contribute to service improvement, safeguarding children, and promoting positive outcomes.
What You Will Do

Conduct high-quality, complex statutory assessments in line with statutory guidance.

Analyse risk and protective factors to make timely, evidence-informed decisions.

Develop, implement, and review outcome-focused, person-centred care/support plans.

Lead safeguarding enquiries and investigations where required.

Manage high-risk or complex cases in compliance with statutory frameworks and policies.

Provide professional support, guidance, and reflective supervision to social workers and students.

Mentor and develop less experienced staff, fostering continuous learning and good practice.

Build and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies to ensure integrated care planning.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records on the Council's system.
