Are you an experienced Adult Social Worker looking for a rewarding opportunity within Learning Disabilities services? We're seeking a dynamic Adult Social Worker to join the Learning Disabilities Team in Leicester, earning £34.00 per hour in this ongoing full-time locum position.
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of adults with learning disabilities by providing person-centred assessments, care planning, and ongoing support. Candidates should have completed their ASYE, unless qualified before its implementation, alongside relevant experience working with people with learning disabilities and experience of court work.
The role also includes weekly duty work from the Coalville office, with occasional duty working from Hinckley Hub, making flexibility around these locations essential.

What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and reviews for adults with learning disabilities, identifying their needs, strengths, aspirations, and desired outcomes.
- Develop and implement person-centred care and support plans designed to promote independence and quality of life.
- Work collaboratively with individuals, families, carers, and multidisciplinary professionals to coordinate effective support.
- Review care and support arrangements to ensure they remain appropriate and responsive to changing needs.
- Participate in court work and contribute to processes designed to achieve appropriate outcomes for service users.
- Undertake weekly duty work from the Coalville office and occasionally from Hinckley Hub.
- Respond effectively to duty work and contribute to the wider objectives of the Learning Disabilities Team.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records, assessments, and documentation.
- Promote strengths-based, person-centred practice throughout your work with service users and their support networks.
Essential requirements:
- Relevant Social Work qualification.
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Completed ASYE, unless qualified prior to its implementation.
- Relevant experience working with adults with learning disabilities.
- Experience of court work.
- Strong assessment, care planning, and case-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals, families, carers, and multidisciplinary professionals.
- Ability to undertake duty work from the Coalville office weekly and occasionally from Hinckley Hub.
- Strong communication, organisational, and professional decision-making skills.
- Commitment to promoting independence and person-centred practice.
