Priory Hospital North London is looking to recruit a Lead Addictions Therapist to join the team. This is a full time/37.5 Hour role.
Located in London, in a peaceful and secluded part of Southgate, Priory Hospital North London is set within a striking Grade I listed building, overlooking beautiful parklands.
Since North London first opened its doors in 1986, we have worked tirelessly to establish our excellent reputation as a specialist provider of mental health care.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will be a qualified and experienced addictions therapist, with professional accreditation highly preferable. They should demonstrate strong clinical assessment, formulation, and therapeutic intervention skills, with experience delivering evidence-based approaches such as CBT and motivational interviewing. Proven experience in supervising or mentoring junior staff, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team are essential. Candidates must be committed to high standards of patient care, professional practice, and service development.

- Deliver specialist assessment, therapy, and treatment interventions for individuals with substance misuse and behavioral addictions.
- Lead and facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, including evidence-based approaches such as CBT, motivational interviewing, and relapse prevention.
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior therapists and support staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical governance within the addictions service.
