Description
Priory Hospital North London is looking to recruit a Laed Addictions Therapist to join the team. This is a full-time/37.5-hour role.

Located in London, in a peaceful and secluded part of Southgate, Priory Hospital North London is set within a striking Grade I listed building, overlooking beautiful parklands.

It's one of the UK's leading centres for the treatment of a range of mental health difficulties, including addictions, depression, anxiety, stress and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).




What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
  • Provide senior clinical leadership delivering high-quality, evidence-based addiction interventions for individuals with complex substance misuse and dual diagnosis needs.
  • Undertake advanced assessments, formulation, and risk management, overseeing treatment planning and supporting complex case management.
  • Lead and facilitate specialist individual and group therapy programmes, including relapse prevention, trauma-informed care, and motivational approaches.
  • Supervise and support junior therapists, contributing to clinical governance, service development, and the maintenance of high professional standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and external stakeholders, ensuring safe, effective, and recovery-focused pathways of care.

What you'll bring to the role
Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

The successful candidate will be a qualified and professionally accredited therapist (e.g. HCPC, BABCP, BACP or equivalent) with substantial post-qualification experience in addictions and dual diagnosis services. You will have a proven track record of managing complex clinical presentations, leading on risk assessment and care planning, and providing clinical supervision or leadership to junior colleagues. Experience contributing to service development, clinical governance, and quality improvement is essential, alongside strong multidisciplinary working skills and a commitment to evidence-based, recovery-focused and trauma-informed practice.
