    The client we are working on behalf is looking for experienced support workers to give excellent support to children 8-16 in a residential setting and in school life. This support role will give you great job satisfaction, a real feeling that you are changing and making a difference to someone's life. in this job role you will get great satisfaction as you will see progress in the children you are supporting, whether that's in home life or at school. The client has many sites across Chorley, Leyland and Preston.

    The company pride themselves on their excellent care and well established school and in 2015 had 98.4% of leavers successfully moved into employment, education, training and/or planned onward residential care pathways. They have some of the UK's leading experts in working with young people with autism and challenging behaviours and so much more.

    The role we are advertising is for temp to perm or ad hoc, we also offer great rates of pay which are £8ph to £9ph and sleeps will be paid on an hourly basis £7.50 and will be on a rota basis of earlies, lates and sleeps. This will be based on a 37.5h week. This is a great opportunity for any support worker and all we ask is the following -

    The role will be challenging and your main duties will include:

    · Giving personal care as and when required

    · Administering medication

    · Following care plans

    · Supporting with in school setting when required

    · Providing support for children's families

    The ideal candidate would have:

    · 6 months experience with working with autism and challenging behaviour (adults or kids)

    · Able to understand and be empathetic.

    · Willing to do Personal Care depending on the needs of the clients.

    · Passionate about improving the lives of children.

    · NVQ in Health and Social care would be an advantage but not essential.
