My client is a small, care focused company, who have a genuine interest in providing excellent care to elderly individuals. We are delighted to have been asked to source an experienced care home manager with a proven track record for their small home in the Strathclyde area, which is soon to become a larger home with the addition of a new 30 bedded extension. This is a really exciting time to join the company
The home caters for elderly residents who suffer from varying levels of Dementia, and the company are firmly committed to providing the highest quality and standards, using a person focused approach.
This home has made excellent progress over the past 2 years, and the person appointed to this role will need to have the ability, and enthusiasm to continue the good work, and drive this success story forward, whilst ensuring that the new extension is commissioned and running smoothly
The ideal candidate would be a leader, who can delegate when necessary and lead by example. You will be passionate about delivering consistently high levels of care, and ensuring that your staff are equipped and trained to cope with the needs of all residents in your care.
You will be proactive within the local community and be able to forge excellent working relationships with all stakeholders.
You will need to be a NMC registered nurse, who has a recognized managers award, Have an excellent knowledge of Care Inspectorate regulations, and be able to interpret and apply these in line with company policies and procedures. The major goal for this role is to move the grades of the home forward, successfully commission and fill the new beds and ensure that the staff team are fully engaged with this process
In order to be considered for this role you must:
Hold a current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery council (NMC)
Have sound clinical knowledge
Have experience of working in a similar Managerial role
Have strong leadership qualities
