We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and adaptable individual who is passionate about providing excellent social support and the delivery of clean safe care.
This is a temporary position, with the possibility of an ongoing contract subject to your performance, making this a particularly exciting opportunity for applicants.
The Cambridgeshire Learning Disability Partnership (LDP) provides a community health and social care service for adults who live in Cambridgeshire and have a learning disability. Support is delivered through five integrated multidisciplinary locality teams in Huntingdonshire, Fenland, City, South and East.
The Fenland Team have an opportunity for a qualified Agency Social Workers for 37 hours per week for a 3 month period, starting asap. The office base is in Hereward Hall in March. The successful candidates will work alongside the Team Manager, Senior Social Workers, Social Workers and Adult Support Co-ordinators, Community Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapist, Psychology, Psychiatry, Speech and Language Therapists, Arts Therapists, Health Care Assistant and Business Support Officers. The team work to support people to have choice and control in all areas of their lives, whilst meeting statutory requirements and our obligations to safeguard adults at risk.
The team needs to work together to meet the opportunities and challenges of the Care Act (2014), Transforming Lives (Cambridgeshire's Care Act implementation strategy) and the Social Work Reform agenda.
We are looking for people who can demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, have the ability to work both independently and as part of a Multi-disciplinary team, and are committed to making a positive difference for the people we support. The successful candidates will have excellent organisational skills, be willing to use their initiative to work in innovative ways. The majority of work expected will be completing Reviews/Reassessments in a variety of settings
