Have you always wanted to commission your own Nursing Home for the Elderly or perhaps you have already commissioned a Home/Care Village and looking to replicate this within a new organisation, utilising your recent experience?

As the new Care Village General Manager, you will already have the ability to manage a good or outstanding Nursing Home or Care Village in line with CQC regulations, delivering quality care for the elderly, especially those with Dementia. The service has been specifically designed for adults with dementia and comprises of a 64 bedded Nursing Home, across two units as well as 24 purpose built apartments.
You will take the lead in commissioning a new care home and group of apartments in Hampshire so commissioning experience is desirable but not essential. The home is coming to the end of the build phase and it will be open in July 2018. In the meantime you will need to project manage the internal phase of the development, registering the service with CQC, marketing the service locally as well as building your own clinical and non-clinical teams (Deputy Manager, Clinical Leads, Nurses, Carers, Chef, Domestic and other support staff).
Reporting into the C.O.O. you will have the autonomy to run the service whilst being supported by a strong and seasoned management and senior management team. You will lead, motivate and inspire your teams to ensure the care you are delivering is of the highest quality, exceeding the internal quality expectations as well as those of the CQC. You will also have a proven track record in managing a large P&L and ensuring that EBITDA targets are met consistently by exceeding on budgeted occupancy levels whilst ensuring the costs are controlled robustly, for instance, agency spend for nurses and carers. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an Assessment Centre with the C.O.O. as well as the HR team and will consist of:
- Role play exercise
- Group activity
- Interview with the C.O.O.
- In-tray exercise
The final interview will be held with the C.E.O. the C.O.O. as well as one of the organisation’s Trustees.
