Our client serves the community of the New Forest, providing in-patient, day hospice and community care for patients with life limiting illnesses and support to their families/carers.
As from 1st April 2018, patients in the Totton area will also be able to be referred to our client by their GPs and benefit from choosing thir services. To help them with this, they are looking to expand their team as follows:
Location: Lymington, Hampshire
Hours: 12 hours per week
Salary: £8,928.00 per annum
Our client is looking for an experienced qualified Counsellor to work with their Counselling Team and other members of the team to provide a high quality and comprehensive counselling and bereavement support service to their patients and their families, at the hospice and in the local community. You will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, to ensure the psychological, emotional and social needs of the community are cared for. This role will also involve sharing skills and knowledge through an excellent education programme to staff, volunteers and external organisations.
You will have had experience of delivering individual counselling and therapeutic support in a health or social care setting. Applicants will need to have a recognised Diploma in Counselling and ideally be BACP or UKCP accredited or be willing to work towards this. Our client is also looking for someone with appropriate teaching and presentation skills.
