My client is looking for a Home Manager for their home within the Swindon Area. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate. This home supports eleven people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and associated complex needs. You must hold your RMA plus NVQ4/SVQ4 in health and social Care, and have proven supervisory experience in a relevant care setting.
Knowledge, experience, understanding and practical ability to manage a service, supporting individuals with a learning disability in a person-centred way including: Maintaining and developing specialist knowledge relative to the specific care and Assessing, planning, recording and implementing, appropriate care plans, risk, Ensuring the implementation of person-centred support including person-centred Identifying when appropriate care and support is not being provided. Ensuring all staff complete all appropriate training to the required standard to support requirements of the individuals we support. Assessments and other strategies to provide the appropriate care and support for the individuals we support. Reviews, staff supervision and appraisal, to ensure that the people we support are enable to achieve identified outcomes. Action to take, including reporting issues internally and externally as required. Enable them to provide appropriate care and support to individuals.
You must have Knowledge, experience, understanding and practical ability to communicate with external and internal customers including: Working and communicating effectively with individuals (current and prospective), Dealing quickly and effectively with enquiries and complaints so that external and families, advocates and other professional colleagues as required in order to support individuals to maintain their personal finances, benefit entitlements, and where applicable tenancy agreements and to therefore gain financial security and long term housing. Internal customers are satisfied that their concerns or enquiries have been satisfactorily resolved.
Culture and Communication
You must have experience, understanding and practical ability to manage people including: Acting as a role model for the staff team, demonstrating and communicating, Being responsible for the recruitment, supervision, training. Effectively delegating appropriate tasks and activities in order to develop the staff. Planning, managing and covering special events such as holidays for the people we undertaking on call duties as required, and managing on the call rota for Team Knowledge, experience, understanding and practical ability in effectively managing administrative processes including: Payroll, record keeping and general administration appropriate attitudes, behaviours, motivating individuals to give of their best, but dealing appropriately with conflict and performance management issues. Management of staff so that the service can consistently provide the proper staffing levels, attitudes, and skills to support the individuals. support, liaising with family, advocate, social services etc as necessary. Leaders / Deputy Home Managers / Registered Nurses.
