    Home Manager Nurse qualified Elderly care home  

    Penrith,

    Cumbria

    Salary: Circa £45k per annum (negotiable)

    Remit  

    Compass Associates are working alongside a small private care provider who own a remit of care home services across the North of England. They are looking for a Home Manager to manage a small sized care home near Penrith in Cumbria. Due to recent success within other care services in their remit, the provider has recently bought this service with a view to provide high quality care to all its residents.

       

    This is a lovely care home that provides nursing and dementia care for elderly people. The home is undergoing a new refurbishment and there will be a lot of positive changes that come with a new company takeover. The home does need some improvement, but the provider feels they have some fantastic people already working in the home. They just crave a passionate and driven manager who can lead it to success.  

     

    The Candidate  

    The successful candidate must have experience as a Home Manager within a care home service that provides nursing care for elderly people. My client is looking for a new Home Manager who can motivate a staff team, maintain good standards of care and can sustain a healthy running business.  

     

    This candidate must have excellent leadership skills and provide evidence that they have the capability to market the care home, to ensure an increase in occupancy.

     

    This position requires a confident, positive person who is able to bring new ideas to the home and can work with internal and external professionals to ensure the home remains successful.  

     

    *Must have Home Management experience*

    *Must be nurse qualified (RGN/RMN/RNLD)*

     

    Requirements

    Home management experience within the care home sector

    NVQ 4/5 in social care management or equivalent

    Nurse Qualified (RGN/RMN/RNLD)

    Strong people management skills

    Passion for elderly care

    At least 1 year Care Home Manager

     

    Location  

    This role is based in Penrith in Cumbria and is commutable from Lancaster, Kendal, Carlisle and other parts of Cumbria.

     

    Interview Process  

    The interview process will be in a 2 stage format.   

     

    Stage One: Face to face formal (CV review & Competency Based): Regional Manager  

    Stage two: Face to face formal (formal review): Regional Manager & Managing Director  

     

    Summary  

    My client is seeking a Home Manager with exposure to elderly care, where the successful candidate is able to lead and inspire a team to provide high quality care. In exchange, my client is offering a salary of £28k - £30k per annum.
