That's why right now, we're looking for committed, experienced Regional Carers to work in our local care homes. Operating across a 20-mile radius, you'll work shifts at a number of Barchester homes in the area, supporting the local clinical teams and providing dedicated, expert care to residents of all ages.
That will mean everything from preparing food and making beds to ensuring each of our residents has meaningful one-to-one time with a member of staff at least once in every shift. Above all, you'll perform any duty necessary to help our residents maintain not only their dignity, but also their independence.
Another crucial part of the role will be supporting the local team's care plans by recording observations, including weight, temperature, pulse, blood pressure, nutrition, tissue viability and liquid intake.
With some carer experience, as well as a sound understanding of elderly care, the ideal candidate for this role will be not only be skilled, but also genuinely compassionate and committed to the wellbeing of our residents.
Ideally, you'll have a level 2 NVQ in Health and Social care, as well as a good understanding of the wider healthcare industry. Customer service and care home experience would also be useful, as would a C or above in GCSE English and Maths. You should also either be a car driver yourself, or have ready access to a vehicle, because this role will involve travelling up to 20 miles to your shifts.
