Orthopaedic surgery is one of our key specialities, as is cosmetic surgery and state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging. The hospital is based in Chatham in Kent and is close to the M2, M20 and M25.
At an exciting stage in our development in which we are seeking to develop our capabilities, we are looking to recruit two enthusiastic Theatre Support Workers to assist in the Operating Suite. Training will be offered if you are looking to start your career in a theatre environment, while ongoing training be provided to Assistants already working in theatres. Across these roles, you will therefore provide a high-quality porter service to the team, ensuring equipment and supplies are in the right place at the right time, and medical records reach the right people. But more than that, you’ll be at the forefront of providing exceptional customer service to our valued patients, as you escort them between the wards, departments and theatre suites and deliver their meals. Ensuring their comfort and safety are taken care of at all times, you’ll enjoy a great level of trust and responsibility in this varied and interesting role.
With the flexibility to work a mixture of longer days and shorter shifts between 7.30am and 9pm, this is a great role in which to start or further your career in the exciting world of surgery. While a background in theatre work would be ideal, it isn’t crucial as we will ensure you receive all the support and training you could possibly need to develop your knowledge in this progressive environment. You will need outstanding communication skills, and you will be able to follow instructions precisely. A team-player, your compassionate nature will be matched by your determination to provide patient satisfaction.
