We have a great opportunity for a Female Lead Support Worker to work as part of and support the team in supporting a young woman who lives in Cowley, Oxford.
The young Woman has an acquired brain injury (ABI). She is a recent graduate, and is physically fit and able, outgoing, bright, and independently minded but experiences fatigue and memory problems.
In addition to supporting this young graduate the Lead support Worker role involves leading and supervising the team of Support Workers, rota management, payroll tasks, and ensuring care standards are maintained.
The successful candidate with have healthcare experience and ideally experience of working with individuals who have experienced an ABI. You will also be fun, friendly, and have similar perspectives and interests to help her with planning, memory, organising social activities, assisting with daily living skills, and developing her social network to support her as her peer and help her to live life to the full.
Her ideal Support worker;
“My ideal support worker would be a woman who shares some of my interests, including: dancing, films, going to the cinema, reading, stimulating conversations, crafts and is able to support me to lead a full, rewarding, and safe life.”
This is a full time, permanent role – 36 hours per week worked as 3 long days 10.00 to 22.00 on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday with flexibility as required. The position offers a competitive salary of £12.50 per hour with enhancements for weekends and Bank Holidays.
A full driving license would be an advantage.
