Social Worker - Looked After Children's (LAC) Team - Sunderland
I am currently looking for a Social Worker to join a well-established Looked after Children (LAC) team, in Sunderland.
The successful candidate will have previous statutory experience of working with a LAC team and be competent in planning and undertaking assessments, discharging care orders and completing matching reports. Experience with Child in Need and Child Protection plans, PLO processes, and planning for permanence is also essential.

The successful Looked after Children (LAC) Social Worker will have experience of:
*Liaising with other clients, agencies and professionals
*Completing work with timescales
*Knowledge of relevant legislation
*Working with Public Law Outline (PLO)

*Attending LAC Reviews
*Effective networking and conflict resolution
*Report writing and written communications
*Prioritising and managing caseloads
*Assessing the needs of, and undertaking direct work with, children and young people.
*Working with parents, families, carers and networks to achieve optimal outcomes for children and young people
*Developing and maintaining, and working collaboratively with, a network of internal and external colleagues
You will need the following in order to be considered for the Role:
*BA/MA/BSc/MSc Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or CCETSW approved equivalent).
*It is also essential that you be registered with the HCPC.
*Experience must have been gained post qualifying sufficient in order to settle quickly into this position.
*Reference Details to cover employment for the previous 5-year work history
*DBS on the update service or happy to process a new one
