    Job Description

Work in a Stable OPMH Team

A NHS Trust based in London is looking to take on an experienced Social Worker due to a long standing member of staff retiring. The team is predominantly composed of permanent members of staff who have been in the team for more than a year, as such the team dynamics are very positive with members supporting and assisting each other.

This is an integrated multi disciplinary service so you will also have the opportunity to work with colleagues from a range of different disciplines. This maybe a very appealing aspect of the post as it allows Social Workers to diversify their knowledge by having access to range of training modules including those that will allow you to specialise as a Clinical Social Worker. There are also opportunities to further your skills in Mental Health by taking on AMHP training which you will have the chance to undertake with 16 months.

Service users are above the age of 65+ so in some instances present with a range of co-morbidities making cases slightly complex and quite unique. Social Workers in the team have commented how this can make work quite stimulating as cases are usually not the same and the "1 size fits all" approach is not effective.

To be considered for this post you should have experience in a Mental Health and Older Persons service.

To find out more about this post or to discuss alternatives feel free to contact me, Rico on Apply. Alternatively you can email me an up to date CV to Apply
