On behalf of my client we are recruiting for a Childrens shift leader to join their organisation within the Hampshire area. The School provides specialist education for up to 60 children and young people aged 5 to 19 years old. They specialise in providing exceptional teaching and care for learners with moderate to severe learning difficulties, specifically those with ASD with associated behavioural and/or communication needs.
You must have previous experience working with children with EBD/ASD and challenging behaviours. You must ideally have your QCF level 3 in children & Young adults.
As a Shift Leader you will lead your assigned shift taking responsibility for a small team of staff and a group of young people to ensure that the children and young people in your care are safe, healthy and able to make a positive contribution, realising their full potential through enjoyment, achievement and economic well being. You will work in the children's home but will also spend time in school supporting during the academic day. This is a whole year role and you must be prepared to work on a shift system including weekend shifts.
