A Local Authority based in London is seeking an experienced Social worker to join their Safeguarding service. This is an opportunity to join a Local Authority which is driving innovation and developing Social Work practice. The Local Authority use the "hackney model" were teams are arranged in Pods and cases are normally approached in units to provide a more holistic package of care. This model has been further developed to include other disciplines such as Mental Health practitioners to ensure Social Workers are getting the most support.

The Local Authority also use Systemic Practice and provide their Social Workers with the training necessary to use this way of work. Also Managers in the team encourage their staff to be reflective when they practice to ensure that service users receives the best level of care. Furthermore Managers in the team are focused on empowering Social Workers so you will have the opportunity and be able to develop your practice so you are able to work autonomously.
Working in the Safeguarding team you will be taking referrals from the MASH and take on those cases that have breached the threshold for intervention.
To be considered for this post you should have experience within a Safeguarding or Assessment team
