We are looking to recruit Support Workers to be part of a community project working with people with a learning disability and mental health needs who also have additional complex needs.
You will need to have experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and additional needs or experience in mental health, learning disability or youth work.
The basic salary for applicants with an NVQ level 2 in Social Care is £14,641 per annum. You will also be expected to do one to two sleepovers per week which is paid at £75 per night which will increase your annual salary to approximately £20,000, however sleepovers are not guaranteed. We will also consider applicants without a qualification who have the relevant experience, the basic pay for unqualified applicants is £14,430.
To work as a Support Worker within this organisation, you will need to have a strong value base with an ability to respect the Clients' wishes and views and enable them to enjoy a full and enriched life as they choose. You will also need to be flexible to work day's, evenings and weekends on a rota basis.
