Located in St Albans,Greenwood Lodge is a well-established residential service, supporting 5 people with learning disabilities lead an active and independent life.
We are looking for two support workers to join our passionate and dedicated staff team.
You will be required to help people live an independent life, supporting with personal care needs, participating in community activities and have an ability to work in a person centred way.
Purpose of this role is to support people with their personalised care plan, providing flexible individualised support, with focus on each person reaching their highest level of independence and ability. We provide the service seven days a week so you will need to work flexibly including some weekend work where needed on a rota system.
To be successful in this role you will have:
•Knowledge of key legislation relating to health and safety in the workplace
•The ability to interact and identify communication and language needs
•The ability to recognise and reduce barriers in communication
•Knowledge of Person Centred Plans
