    Person Specification:

    As an experienced manager with 2 years minimum managerial experience in a care home setting, you will have a Professional qualification alongside your nursing qualification in leadership and management in health and socail care. You must have gained your 2 years care home management experience within the last 2 years. You will be able to work under pressure and promote equal opportunities and non-discriminatory practices

    As the nurse home care manager you will be responsible for the management and profitability of the Home in accordance with our client's policies and procedures and all external regulatory requirements.

    This will include the management of all staff, efficient and effective day to day running of the Home, marketing and promotional activities and developing exceptional personalised service for every service user.

    Business Development


  • To develop a business plan for the purpose of planning and implementing activities that will advance the Home and achieve the highest occupancy rates in line with MMCG guidelines and Company Mission.
  • To ensure all budgetary controls are maintained in accordance with financial procedures
  • To adhere to all company policies
  • To market the business in line with MMCG guidelines and establish and maintain good relations with the community and other service providers (Multi-disciplinary teams?)
  • To negotiate fees with private clients, Local Authorities, Clinical Commissioning Groups to ensure maximum profit
  • To ensure the highest standards are maintained relating to the maintenance of the grounds, building and equipment, to create a desirable impression and deliver a safe environment
  • To manage all complaints in line with the Complaints Policy and ensure senior managers are informed of these and any other event listed within Regulatory notifications.
  • To implement and maintain all requirements specified in Regulations, including storage and distribution of medicines.
  • To oversee the implementation of systems of working which enable Health and Safety legislative requirements to be met including risk assessments, fire records, COSHH files etc.


  • Quality Assurance
  • To work with the Quality Assurance Team to ensure all quality standards and procedures are adhered to and to promote a collaborative approach of continuous development that consistently supports the client's Mission
  • Understand the importance of correct record management and own personal responsibilities in maintaining this through passwords, storage of documentation, and sharing information ( both paper based or on electronic systems)

  • To lead, direct, supervise, develop and support staff to provide a range of services that delivers a person centred and flexible service to meet needs of every Service user.

  • To develop all staff to carry out their duties and responsibilities to the highest standard by providing comprehensive induction, mandatory and on-going development training and coaching.
  • To manage and review performance through probation periods, management practices, supervision sessions, training records and an annual appraisal
  • To monitor and record staff attendance and performance, deal with disciplinary matters and action formal disciplinary procedures through the appropriate channels
