The client welcomes both qualified care assistants who hold NVQ's and trainee care assistants who are looking to kick-start their career in care. The home is beautifully presented and this stylish Georgian nursing home has been refurbished to the highest of standards. The home really prides itself in the home from home environment it offers. The home offers the highest level of palliative; day and respite care to the residents. Residents' wellbeing is put at the forefront of the care homes agenda, with resident's pets, family and friends all welcomed. A vast activity programme is offered to the residents with reminiscence therapy, game and quiz nights, gardening being some of the activities accessible to the residents. The home has a beautiful sensory garden for dementia residents to explore.
As a healthcare assistant, you will be responsible for assisting people to wash, clean, dress and participate in their every day routine. You will assist residents with mobility or physical disabilities to help with working aids and other equipment they may require.You must respect residents' wishes and choices and contribute to their life's fulfilment. You will be responsible assisting and giving medicine. You must have a caring, compassionate, friendly manner and be able to form working relationships with staff, residents and their family and friends. As a care assistant you must be trustworthy, friendly and have passion to offer the highest level of care to elderly residents in a respectful, dignified manner.
