Livability York House is a residential service home for 20 adults with physical and intellectual disabilities, including some with complex needs. The home is in Ossett close to local amenities. Our friendly and passionate team is looking for a support worker to join our passionate and dedicated staff team.
We are now looking for a support worker who can help our residents develop their skills and independence through activities, social clubs, work placement and adult education. As this role is required to cover gaps of existing staff, you will be able to work casual hours as and when required. You will have a caring and compassionate nature, with a real desire to help others.
To be successful in this role you will:
• Be able to connect and establish relationships
• Have knowledge of key legislation relating to health and safety in the workplace
• The skills to interact and identify communication and language needs, wishes and preferences
