Support Worker - Assisted Living - Preston Area

My client based in the Preston Bamber Bridge area is looking to add bank staff to their growing business.
My client supports young people into independent living. You Will be providing support for young vulnerable people between the ages of 16-18 and helping them reach their full potential. You will be required to work within a semi independence setting where young people share accommodation.
We aim to provide a secure and nurturing environment that will support young people to ensure they receive the highest standard of support appropriate to their individual needs. The primary objective is to enable our young people to become emotionally stable and self-reliant to live independently.
You must be able to work flexibly which would be determined by the company's requirements, this will include evenings, sleep ins, public holidays and weekends.
Support Work: 1 Year
This role requires an Enhanced DBS with experience of working within a supported living environment Candidates must have an understanding of relevant legislation relating to the care of young people and be able to demonstrate an ability to actively safeguard and promote the welfare of the young people.· Ideally applicants must have experience of working in partnership with Local Authorities and Health/Social Care professionals qualifications
NVQ Level 3 - Health & Social
Care/Children & Young People's Workforce or similar
Excellent verbal and written
Ability to communicate and relate positively to children and young people · IT literate (word, excel etc) Experience in working with/supporting young people in care · To be able to work alone with minimum supervision confidently · Must be flexible with regards to availability · Be professional & have understanding of ethics & boundaries · Need to ensure the safety of the service users & the building Preferably hold a driving license and have access to a car
Will include lone working supporting young people in their accommodation
Some shifts may include evening's, bank holidays and sleep ins
