Supervising Social Worker - ASYE for NQSW

Interviews this week. Apply now to be considered

This is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified Social Worker to join an OFTSED rated OUTSTANDING Independent Fostering Agency who have robust matching criteria and an organic growth mindset.

Many of the foster carers come from range of backgrounds, so being able to speak another language is an advantage. Urdu and Bengali are strongly desired.

The IFA is looking for someone to invest in- you will receive strong initial training and consistent supervision from a very knowledgeable manager. Character is key; you will suit the team well if you are down to earth, a hard worker and have a genuine desire to help looked after children.

Your role will include completion of Form F assessments, delivering skills to foster training and supervising placements. The culture is based on having a low caseload of very well matched families, which means that you will spend your time delivering further training and getting to know your foster carers well, instead of a reactive culture of firefighting issues and concerns.

    About you:

If you are looking to develop into a strong supervising social worker, then this may be the perfect role for you. You will be determined and seeking to learn new skills and approaches.

Experienced supervising social workers are also encouraged to apply. It's about having the right character in post, not necessarily what accolades you have on your CV.

    Caseload

You will be taking over a caseload across Manchester and Bolton, however there may be further travel needed as necessary, which you can expect from any other role as a supervising social worker.

    Duties will include:

    • Assessing prospective carers using Form F assessments *training will be provided
    • Delivering Skills to Foster training
    • Supervising carers in their own home
    • Continuous professional development

    Requirements for the role:

    • Can-do attitude
    • A diploma or equivalent qualification and HCPC registration
    • Have a car and driving license
    • Being able to speak another language is an advantage

If you would like to apply for this role or find out more, please email your CV to Kevin Kendaru at Apply, or call Apply.
