Care Home Manager (nursing home - we are happy to speak to non-nurses with home management experience)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 basic & annual bonus worth up to £15,000 - total package of £60,000!
TIME Recruitment is working alongside one of the UK's largest health & social care providers in selecting a diligent and compassionate Home Manager to lead the team at a 60-bed service in Widnes, Cheshire. The home offers a range of care packages to elderly individuals with residential and nursing care needs, ranging from high dependency nursing care through to respite care.
The service's last CQC report was Good overall, offering a stable platform for the new manager. We are nonetheless looking for a strong, capable manager with a track record of improving and maintaining nursing care services.
This role is open to nurses and non-nurses with managerial experience within the nursing home sector.
As a Care Home Manager, you will take responsibility for the smooth operation of the home on a daily basis. We are looking for someone with a proven track record within the care sector which can be evidenced through positive CQC inspection results. You will have a flair for leadership and a real understanding of what quality care looks and feels like.
The successful applicant will be in charge of staff retention and recruitment, budgeting, marketing and building relationships with key external bodies, such as social services, GPs and pharmacies. You will combine commercial acumen with a genuine commitment to excellence in care and be able to demonstrate exactly how you would balance a budget without compromising on care standards.
---TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT---
Our client offers an extensive induction process, supported heavily by senior and regional management in the area. You will learn about the company and its procedures and be clear as to exactly what is expected of you as a home manager. The company prides itself on being able to promote from within and it is not uncommon for home managers to make the leap into regional management and beyond.
As a new manager you will be assigned a mentor - an existing senior manager within the company - and spend time in their home to learn how the company functions.

Our client understands that excellent nurse managers are extremely valuable to their organisation. As such, the basic salary for the role is £45,000, supplemented by a competitive annual bonus structure worth as much as an additional £15,000 per year.
