    Amber Mace is currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager to work within a nursing home in Wolverhampton. This is an excellent home that provides residential care for elderly people, some of whom may be living with dementia, a physical or learning disability, sensory impairment or mental health issues.

    As Deputy Home Manager, you will assist the general day-to-day running of the home on a supernumerary basis, providing administrative support. You will be a strong authoritative presence in the home while the manager is away and will support the team at a supervisory level.

    The Role of Deputy Manager:

    • Support and deputise for the Home Manager

    • Assist the delegation of workloads and nursing resources

    • Perform audits as required

    • Ensure accurate care records are kept and incidents/accidents are reported in accordance to the company policy

    • Promote and maintain a high standard of care

    • To ensure effective induction of all staff, together with supervision of trained staff, as well as providing mentorship, assessment and induction of new care staff

    • Conform to the latest guidelines and maintain the highest levels of care governance whilst regularly auditing practices and procedures.

    Skills/ Qualifications required of the Deputy Manager:

    • Valid nursing PIN.

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

    • Must be computer literate and have administrative experience

    • Proven ability to lead and supervise a team

    • Have a clear and thorough knowledge of the CQC standards.

    • Must have experience at supervisory level within a similar environment.

    In return, my client will offer a salary in the region of £17 p/h and an excellent benefits package.
