Home Manager

My client is seeking a Home Manager (RGN or RMN) to work in the nursing home environment providing nursing care for the elderly. My Client's nursing home is medium in size, located in Bradford.

In return my client requires a committed and confident individual who is conscientious, dynamic and pro-active to efficiently lead and manage their home on a day to day and long term basis.
This role is ideally suited to current Home Managers looing for a new challenge in a fresh environment or a current Deputy Manager with at least 3 years plus experience working in that position.

This home is a well appointed; purpose built Care Home offering nursing, residential and respite care in an environment where every person is viewed as an individual. All of the 80 bedrooms are inviting and comfortable whilst also benefitting from en suite facilities.

Job Description
* Manage all members of staff including liaising with internal or external agencies
* Be on call if the home requires the Managers attention
* Support the Deputy Manager if and when required
* Implement training/induction programs for all care staff
* Ensure the highest level of care is delivered throughout the home at all times
* Be able to quality management and audit with the clinical and monetary departments of
the home
* Must have a clear and thorough knowledge of CQC standards
* Improve the quality rating of the home set out by the CQC
* Be able to follow up all enquiries regarding private beds within the home
* To work within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and the Commission for Social Care
Inspection standards
* Be able to offer satisfactory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) and references upon successful
application
* Must have experience at either Home Manager or Deputy Manager level within a nursing home
for a minimum of 3 years plus
* Demonstrate your ability to lead and motivate other staff members
* Have excellent clinical skills and supervisory experience
* Have excellent communication, marketing, business and interpersonal skills
* Have previous experience providing nursing care in an elderly or dementia setting
* Be committed and dedicated to the role as well as working in a professional and caring manner
at all times

Candidate Specification:
* Must be a qualified RGN and have a valid NMC pin number
* Be able to offer satisfactory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) and references upon successful
application
* Previous experience providing nursing care in an elderly or dementia setting
* Must have senior experience at supervisory level within a nursing home
* Understanding of the NMC code of conduct
* Excellent clinical skills and supervisory experience
* Ability to lead and motivate other staff members
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Management Package:
* Full Time Hours available on Day Duty
* £40,000 - £50,000 based on experience
* Additional ongoing training and support available
