I am currently working with an amazing care home, Supported Living provider to find a Scheme Manager to run their specialist Older people supported living schemes across Ellesmere Port and parts of the Wirral.
As the Scheme Manager you will work for a leading not for profit organisation and provider of residential and nursing services specialising in dementia, elderly and mental health care. The organisation has an excellent reputation within the care community with their state of the art nursing homes and high standards of care. They have services across the UK and are continuing to develop.
Within the role of Scheme Manager you will oversee and aid in the continuous development of the Live at Home schemes and ensure each service is up to their high standards. The Scheme Manager position is a hands on role and you will be expected to market, promote, advertise and recruit as well as liaising with relevant governing bodies and local authorities.
The Scheme Manager is responsible for identifying where there is unmet need in a defined area and developing new Schemes or satellites to deliver services which meet with the companies goal of eliminating isolation and loneliness through connecting older people in communities that care.
The Scheme Manager will have experience in finding, securing and maintaining income from a variety of grants, trusts and statutory bodies and a significant focus of this role will span across local and regional income generation. The Scheme Manager will be an individual with a range of business and operational skills, but critically the Scheme Manager will possess a strong drive to deliver high quality services that promote the wellbeing of older people across a range of community settings.
The Scheme Manager role is predominantly based within the local community; however occasional regional and national travel will be required to attend meetings, workshops and training courses, although this will be minimal.
Scheme Manager experience:
• Experienced as a Scheme Manager of Older peoples services with at least 2 years experience in a senior management capacity
• Demonstrable strong leadership skills in managing large teams of people
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Strong influencing and communication skills
• Strong experience working with Dementia
• NVQ Level 4 or above
• Excellent business development and commercial skills
