Registered Care Home Manager

Macclesfield, Cheshire, England

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manager to join a reputable company, with a passion for providing the highest quality care and residential services for people with dementia or other neurological conditions.

Location

Macclesfield

Key Information

The Company:

Our client is a small, well-established, independent group of very high quality residential care homes for older people, specialising in dementia care.

The Directors provide active support and involvement in the business, are quick to make decisions and always open to suggestions on improving the service.

Historically, home managers who were not entirely comfortable with the ethos of the large care home groups, have found a more appealing culture and ethos in this small group.

There is a very positive culture amongst the team, with a can-do attitude and excellent support and advice provided by the senior management team.

The Care Home:

This particular care home is a fine, Grade 2 listed building, which has been extensively refurbished over the years.

The home benefits from a stable workforce with low staff turnover and long serving staff are employed in key roles.

The home runs at or very close to full occupancy and is currently being run in compliance with all CQC regulations.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manager to join a reputable company, with a passion for providing the highest quality care and residential services for people with dementia or other neurological conditions.

The opportunity exists because the current, long-serving manager is leaving to take up a new role.

This is an exciting and genuinely challenging role, which will suit someone who:

  • Has an innovative approach and an ethos of continuous improvement
  • Can maintain the home's position as a market leader locally and continue to develop a service that is a lifestyle choice for people
  • Will continue to foster the key professional relationships established by the previous Manager
  • Can demonstrate an ability to maintain CQC compliance
  • Is able to capitalise on consistently high occupancy levels (and waiting lists at times) by converting bed vacancies as they arise to self-funding clients
  • Will continue to champion End of Life Care and the Namaste Care End of Life Care Program

The grounds around the home include a large plot of land which, subject to planning consent, could accommodate a purpose-built extension or separate new build care home - so this will likely present an exciting new challenge in future.

This is a full-time role (42 contracted hours per week). You will be on call on call 5/7 nights and expected to do night drop-ins for supervision and quality monitoring (and weekends if needed).

Key Benefits

£40-45K basic plus up to £5K bonus

Key Skills and Qualifications
