My client has an exciting new opportunity within the West Molesey Surrey area. Is is a brand new 6 bedded service so you will need a very experienced Registered Manager that can set up a brand new home. It is to support children that have EBD and challenging behaviours. The salary will also have performance related bonus schemes attached to it. You will need your QCF level 5 in management or equivalent, excellent knowledge in safeguarding, and be able to maintain all ofsted requirements.

You will report to the Director, and you will be required to take responsibility for the overall management of the Home ensuring you have excellent communication skills and the ability to offer diversity to your role particularly in respect of ‘hands on’, leading by example and demonstrating a detailed, professional and knowledgeable understanding of the actual day to day operations of the Home. To be responsible for the Managerial decisions which lead the Home in establishing a quality led service and ensuring all Children's Homes Regulations including Quality Standards and Ofsted inspection framework outcomes are fully compliant, operating within the legal parameters. You will have responsibility for meeting budget requirements through efficient methods and maintaining a commercial awareness. To lead the staff in being aware of their responsibilities at work and communicate the organisation aims to provide a service user led service.
You will also be responsible for the monitoring of young people’s welfare including liaising with the appropriate personnel in respect of all safeguarding investigations and enquiries, the supervising of complaints and identifying needs to ensure that conclusions are being achieved and audit mechanisms are in place. To manage challenging behaviour in line with company policies and procedures. To be responsible for the operation of the home and liaise with the Senior staff (as appropriate) in maintaining a quality led service delivery.
To take responsibility for the regular planning and organising of professional meetings, Care team meetings, staff, young people and relatives/advocates meetings; including the recording of outcomes and actions.
