Senior Social Worker | Adults MASH Team
Guildford, Surrey, England
Surrey County Council requires an experienced Senior Social Worker with at least 3 years post qualification experience to join their Adults Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub based in Guildford Police Station.
Pay rate: Up to £30 per hour (limited /umbrella)
The successful candidate will routinely work with multi-agency referrals that present particular complexities arising from e.g. legal issues, statutory requirements, disputes within families, care and support needs, mental health concerns, DoLS issues, criminal behaviour.
To be considered you must have comprehensive understanding and experience of working with relevant legislation in Adult Social Work settings including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Mental Health Act and have experience of inter-professional working and motivated to work in a positive, collaborative way with co-located partners whilst retaining professional identity.
You will also have experience with and be able to prioritise and manage a duty Inbox of partner agency referrals including Police, Ambulance, Fire Service, Trading Standards, Children's services, Health, Provider agencies.
You must be professionally competent and have experience of dealing with complex safeguarding cases.
Excellent communication skills are essential, and you must be able to relay information in a clear, fluent, concise and jargon free way and in a courteous, calm and professional manner.
You will offer guidance and support to less experienced colleagues in the team.
The MASH team is a non-operational role so there is no direct client contact.
