Floating Home Manager
Telford, Shropshire, England
A floating Home Manager is required to cover an area including homes in North Wales and Shropshire, working with children and young people with behavioural issues, learning difficulties or mental health conditions. You will support a number of homes as required, either in temporary management in the absence of the manager or in supporting a manager as and when required. Homes vary in size from very small two- and three-client facilities to much larger, and will require a manager who is used to working in a busy, ever-changing environment. You will be working closely with children and young people in crisis or with ongoing behavioural issues including conditions on the autism spectrum. You will also be involved in the development and training of staff, ensuring people reach their potential and deliver the highest standards of care.

To be considered for this role you must hold a relevant professional social work qualification (DipSW CQSW or equivalent or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England)(QCF) or the equivalent predecessor qualification in England/Wales for the role) and have at least 5 years' experience in residential care in a related field, 2 or more of which will have been in management. Due to the nature of the role you will be flexible and able to work unsocial hours, and due to the seniority level you will expected to be organised and systematic, and able to control expenditure and budgets as per the needs of the unit. You will be committed to providing the highest levels of care and be a dedicated professional in this field.
