Children's Support Worker
Flint, Flintshire (Sir y Fflint), Wales
We are currently recruiting for an experienced support worker for our client based in Flintshire. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience working with children with various complex needs. Our client has an acquired brain injury that has resulted in physical difficulties as well as less visible difficulties with language, memory and learning. Our client is able to walk short distances however longer distances do require a wheelchair, so assistant with this is essential. You will also be expected to assist with therapy sessions and help our client carry out therapy programmes.
We need a support worker able to speak Polish. We require someone with patience; our client is very sociable and chatty, but we need an outgoing support worker who is lively yet sensitive and understanding.
You will also be expected to help our client with various community based activities, all the while ensuring their safety. Our client requires help getting to after school activities but you will also be expected to help with things like homework. The ideal candidate needs to be able to start as soon as possible.
You will need to be flexible and a driving license is essential. The shifts available are:
2 evenings a week (days are negotiable) – 15:15 – 19:15
1 day at the weekend - 5 hours
