Service Manager / Home Manager - Nursing Home
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + Extensive Benefits

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Service Manager / Home Manger to join a very reputable elderly care home based in Derby. This service provides a very high standard of personalised nursing, residential and respite care for older people over the age of 65. They can cater for a range of needs including those who have had a stroke, as well as Parkinson's and those with mobility problems. The service is a comfortable homely environment enabling all residents to maintain their independence and control over their own choices.
The service ensures they truly understand each individual and their needs, tailoring care packages for each specific person. They ensure that their person-centred assessments are all tailored to the whole person. With the support of the individual, their families and the service staff they can provide a bespoke plan of care. As the Service Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing a staff team and inspire them to create a therapeutic, homely atmosphere which addresses the needs of the residents.
You will be accountable for the operation and financial control of the service working to budget and profit and loss accounts. You will be involved in the proactive management planning, along with recruiting, induction, supervision of staff team along with on-call duty management.
We are looking for someone who is flexible, approachable, motivated and personable. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the following:
- QCF / NVQ 4 Health & Social Care and Registered Care Managers Award, Level 4 management qualification or Level 5 Leadership and Management in Social Care is essential
- Extensive experience of managing a dementia and or elderly care service
- Demonstrable management experience
- Experience of developing a service

This role is based near Derby, Derbyshire and is commutable from Nottingham, Loughborough, Burton upon Trent, etc.
