Compass Associates are working closely with a leading healthcare provider in recruitment for a General Manager to oversee a 60 bedded care home near Watford. This home is due to be refurbished and requires a strong manager oversee this and to lead a junior team. The home is registered for Elderly nursing and Dementia care. The successful applicant will need to have previous experience managing a home and improving CQC standards.
The role -
Reporting into the Regional Operations Manager you will be responsible for turning the service around from inadequate.
To establish and develop links in the local community.
Marketing of the service to ensure the homes standards and reputation in the area is maintained and increased.
Responsible for assisting with recruitment, HR Issues, Training and general leadership of the homes and the staff.
The Candidate -
Proven experience within Home Management (Minimum of 1 year)
Ideally have Management qualification (NVQ Level 4 or equivalent)
Ideally have experience in dementia setting
Understanding of the compliance guidelines
Genuine passion in elderly care.
