Our client provides three specialist areas of care:
Adult Mental Health, Specialist Brain Injury and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
With hospitals and specialist centres across England and Scotland, we work in partnership with NHS and Local Authorities to provide person-centred quality health and social care services.
The Hospital in Maidenhead is a 60 bed Tier 4 CAMHS hospital for young people aged 12 -18 years with a range of mental health disorders including eating disorders and complex needs.
My client provides comprehensive assessment and treatment programmes working collaboratively with patients and their families or carers.
On the hospital site there is a purpose-built 29 bed psychiatric intensive care service (PICU) for patients with severe mental Illness who require very specialist and intensive treatment. The 20 bed eating disorders service is housed separately in the original Manor House.
As a Family Therapist working in this CAMHS Service, your main duties will be:
*Undertake specific clinical work with patients and their families in response to the clinical need, in a way which coheres with the overall treatment philosophy of the Unit. This is mainly with in-patients, but may also be with out patients and day patients
*Maintain effective clinical records and casework notes in accordance with developing policy
*Work as a member of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) participating in clinical team meetings and other departmental meetings as necessary
*Participate in relevant Clinical Audit projects as necessary
*Provide coaching, training, mentoring and management of junior staff and student placements
*Ensure that timely and on-going clinical supervision is received
*Regular and on-going clinical supervision of junior therapists, assistants and students
*To abide by the Code of Conduct of the Association of Family Therapists
*Take responsibility for own professional & personal development through the performance and development reviews and attending all relevant training
*A minimum two years' experience as a Family/Systemic Therapist post qualification including work with adolescents
*Assess evaluate and Implement treatment programmes for Young People and Families
*Ability to co-work with a variety of other disciplines
